On the second day of the trip around Bavaria, right after visiting the Neuschwanstein Castle built by Ludwig II of Bavaria, we went to the viewpoint. It was located on Mount Tegelberg.

Tegelberg is not in the immediate vicinity of the Neuschwanstein (new swan) and you have to drive to it. In our case, go back a bit and take the road we passed before. You go up the hill by cable car. As you can see in the photos below, even though it was the end of May, snow was still present there. In such high parts of the mountains (Alps), it can last for a very long time.

If you noticed beautiful clouds in the photos. It was after a dozen or so minutes from reaching the top that it started to rain. As it is not difficult to guess, we were not delighted with the turn of the situation. Fortunately, the rain was not too strong, but it significantly shortened our stay on this Alpine slope.

It was obviously not the last stop of the day, the next point of the trip was the Linderhof Castle.

If I can add something, when planning a trip to such high mountain parts, it is worth taking a hat and gloves, or at least a jacket with a hood. At high altitudes, the temperature is different than in the valley below the hill.
