Rynek Łazarski (Market Square) in Poznań (after revitalization)

In the years 2020 – 2021, the Łazarski Market (pol. Rynek Łazarski) underwent a huge metamorphosis. From a traditional city market to a modern futuristic facility.

As the name suggests, the market is located in Poznańskie Św. Łazarz (Saint Lazarus). It can be reached comfortably by tram. It is also surrounded by old tenement houses on almost all sides.

After revitalization, the following appeared on the market:

• fountain
• playground
• pedestals with photos (in the beginning there was an exhibition with the history of the market)

I will not comment on the quality or functionality of the market – because I am not a qualified person. Certainly, however, the prices for tenants are higher and the stalls are smaller (compared to those that were before).

Visually, however, the market is very impressive. Perhaps even shocking. There are even comparisons to UFOs. However, see for yourself.
